So after Val Sesia I managed to join a few German boys for some days in Tessin Switzerland, the boys showed me some of the classic runs and we had good times, unfortunately Philip's boat was taken by the river which left him with out a boat, and Timo hurt his shoulder, so I was picked up by Andy and his father Thomas and we went paddling until it rained and they decided to head home to Augsburg.
This how ever all turned for good.
I was picked up by the Teva Tour.
Thanks to a half cast Kiwi Arnd Shaftlin and Barry, Chris and the rest of the Teva Tribe.
So first off we were on our way to the Straight down Shtreet in Switzerland, on the way we were able to stop and run a sick slide into a sweet boof, Casper, Michaela, Seppi and I ran it, while Pat and Thilo the photographer had the hardest jobs of hoisting us out of the pool at the bottom.
The Straight down Street was a sick event I have to go back, the river was super steep and pushy, first up was a time trial and Pat the Killer Keller took it out, he was super fast and after an average weekend in Val Sesia he was ready to fire it up.
I came in 8th position 3 seconds behind Pat, after boofing on the right instead of the right, thats how tight it is here in Europe.
The top 32 from the Time trial went through to the Head 2 Head.
I managed to get to the top 8 in where I was seated up against Pat, which both of us were stoked about as we wanted to battle it out, both of us not giving the other an inch.
I managed to get a sweet jump on the start, and was able to bring it home. So with only two more rounds to go I could taste the Swiss Franks, I was up against Ron Fisher one of the organizers and a sick dude all round.
I was in second place off the start and then as I came to take the inside BAM i was upside down, hitting rocks I managed to roll up and drop backwards in to a sticky drop, after a few seconds surfing I was released but the win was unattainable.
Honza who was also racing in the top four was knocked out by Michaela from Italy also on the Teva Tour.
Honza and I battled it out for 3rd place, and after another good start I was able to come home in third.
Ron Fisher who had knocked me out was able to do the same as he had done to me, to Michaela in the final which was funny.
Any way it was a sick event with an epic party and some epic results from TEVA taking out the top 3 in the mens.
After the good results I was welcomed onto the official Teva Tour team and hooked up with a Hoodie and a few pairs off the sickest shoes on the market, cheers Chris and Barry.
