As 2007 faded away the Okere Falls Gang decided to go bomb huka for the evening to celebrate the ending of the year.
So with 14 paddlers, 3 sledges and an entourage of groupies we were ready to go run the gnar.
The paddlers consisted of:
Douglas, Arnd, Tim, Pete, Chonk, Brad, Scotty, Stefan, Ryan, Louie, Jamie, Josh, Scux and myself.
Sledges: Joel, Hunaman and Johnny Berry.
It was a blast to bomb down the infamous Huka Falls with such a large and cool group of people, with some sick air time and some sick moves the runs went off with out a hitch even the ballsy sledges dominated it with only a quick plunge to the bottom for Johnny they all dominated it.
After a few light beers we headed back to John Snook’s were the nights entertainment took place.
In the morning we decided to start off the year by doing some high speed Ski Biscuiting. Stefan, Josh, Scux, Jamie, Ryan and my self . The photos speak for them selves 80km was the average speed.
