Nepal, what a crazy diverse country! Arriving in the middle of the night it was steeping back in time with old cars and rough roads, as well as dogs every where on the streets.
Arriving in Katmandu, knowing nothing except to go to Thamel the western centre of Katmandu, I was quickly ripped off, with the cab driver saying that where the Kayakers were staying was full and I had to stay at there hotel.
Any way the next day I meet up with some mates from Norway earlier this year, Benjamin Hjort the big man him self, JJ Shepard all the way from North Carolina USA as well as Meford, Maxi and Sean. So we had a sweet team of all solid boaters keen to go have some fun.
Now for those of you who have never been to a third world country, the biggest mission on the whole journey is getting any where.
One the best parts of the trip was riding on the roof of a buss with the humid hot air blowing threw your hair, whilst you dodge the low hanging power-lines keeping another eye on the incoming traffic getting ready to jump at any time.
Another highlight would be some of the spectacular scenery of lush jungle and rice patties with a Himalayan beast as the backdrop.
We walked into the Modi Kola which is a sweet river out of Pokahra, the hike in is about a day and a bit, but with porters fro $10 who can complain, the river was a fun read and run mostly with a few rapids to scout and a good healthy flow, we all had huge grins on our faces.
The next river I paddled was with just Benji and it was the Boda cosie, it was super sick so much fun just big pushy waves and holes a few good surfs and just a amazing time hanging with Benji.
The other cool parts were burning leaches off your legs and ass, hanging with boys and the cheap food and accommodation.

Next update will probably be next week on a sweet NZ river or in 15 days from Chile Hucking.
